Application for Financial Assistance for NCEA Fees
Parents can apply for the financial assistance for NCEA fees if:
- you receive a Work and Income or StudyLink benefit
- your family income would qualify you to receive a Community Service Card
- you have three or more children doing NCEA and would otherwise be paying more than $200 in fees.
The application form has been given to the students. Parents to complete and return to the school office. For domestic students, if you do not qualify for the financial assistance, the NCEA fees is $76.70. The school will send the invoice with your child during this week. The fees will be due by 1st September, 2017.
NZ Spelling Bee
Mashallah to our students: Zubair Mohd 9B, Raffa Faisal 9G, Juwariya Raheemah 10G and Fatimatuz Zahraa 10G who have qualified for the NZ Spelling Bee regional finals in Auck. They are among the top 200 spellers in NZ. This is an excellent achievement.
Education Perfect English Competition
Our Year 9 girls and boys participated in the competition and some students have done exceptionally well. The top students are: Zubair Mohammed 9B, Fazilat Khan 9G, Romana Ali 9G, Aaliyah Fatima Asif 9G and Mohammed Tauseef Hussain 9B. We are 5th in New Zealand out of 252 schools and 8th globally out of 1,040 schools. Congratulations to Romana Ali who has been awarded an 11’’Mac Book Air as a prize in the Elite category. Awesome achievement by all students.
MOTHER – DAUGHTER HIGH TEA

PARENT TEACHER MEETING
Parent/teacher meeting for years 1-13 is on Monday 21st August, 2017 from 8.00am -5.30pm. It is a whole day programme therefore the students need to come to school only at the appointment time with their parents and return home with their parents.

PRIMARY SCHOOL CAMP
Years 5 and 6 students are going to Sir Peter Blake Camp, Long Bay, Auckland. Year 6 will be going tomorrow from 2nd to 4th August and year 5 will be going from 9th to 11th August. Detailed information has been given to the parents by the class teachers.
REMINDER: FINANCIAL LITERACY PROGRAMME
ASB Bank will run this program for years 1 – 8 students from 22nd to 24th August, 2017.
SILVER JUBILEE CELEBRATION
The school will be celebrating 25 year jubilee on 17 August, 2017. More details to follow.

- The University of Auckland scholarships are now open. Closing date for the scholarships are on 23rd of August 2017.
