STAFF VACANCIES

 Scale A Teacher – Fixed Term Appointment

We have a vacancy for a full time – fixed term Scale A Teacher for 2018 academic year. Depending on the experience and qualification, the teacher will be required to teach either Year 1 or 2 class.

 IT Administrator

Due to resignation we have a vacancy for an IT Administrator. The person we are looking for must have appropriate qualification and experience to manage the school’s IT infrastructure including all the hardware and software and support the school staff in the delivery of the school curriculum and the IT administration of the entire school including programs such as and not limited to BYOD and Teachers laptop schemes. It is desirable to have someone who has experience with different agencies linked to the provision of education in NZ including Microsoft as well as ministry of education.

  1. Teacher Aide – Primary School

We have a vacancy for a teacher aide – fixed term for 2018 academic year. The successful applicant will be police vetted and will be required to support classroom teachers in the delivery of their classroom programs.  Vacancy closes on Friday 8 December 2017.  Please apply in writing to the Principal, Al-Madinah School, P O Box 43-246, Mangere, Auckland or preferably through email it to principal@al-madinah.school.nz.  . Secondary GIRLS’ CAMP

Years 7-10 girls are going to Piha Mill in Henderson from Monday 27/11/17 – Wednesday 29/11/17.

JUNIOR BOYS CAMP

Al-Madinah School Junior boys school camp 2017 will be held in Bay of Plenty Tauranga & Rotorua from Tuesday 28th – Thursday 30th November 2017. All rules of camp, luggage to be taken and special itinerary has been prepared, discussed and copy given to students and parents.

Please take note that all effort will be made to be back in school by 3.30 pm on Thursday. However, parents must be aware of the fact that officially, camping students are meant to be back in school by 4 pm and parents are to take responsibility for the return to home.

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Primary award assembly: Years 1-3 on 05/12/17 from 10.30am-12.30pm and years 4-6 on 06/12/17 from 10.30am-12.30pm.
  • Secondary award ceremony is on 07/12/17 9.30am-12.00 noon.
  • School finishes for 2017 on 13/12/17 at 2.30pm.
  • Term 1 for 2018 starts on Wednesday 31/01/18.

 PRIMARY SPORTS DAY

Primary school will be having whole day sports on Thursday 7 December, 2017.

TRANSITION INTO SCHOOL

New Entrants who have been accepted for next year are allowed to come for orientation from 9.00am – 12.00 noon on Thursdays.   Parents/ caregivers are required to stay with them all the time, take all responsibility and take them home at 12.00.

 SCHOOL REPORT

All end of year school reports will be posted in the last week of the term.
