Dear Parents/Caregivers

PARENT TEACHER MEETING

Parent teacher meeting for years 1 – 13 is on Wednesday 28th March, 2018 from 8.00am – 5.30pm.  It will be a whole day programme.  Therefore, the students need to stay home and only come to school on the appointment time with their parents and return home with them.  The booking will be open for parents by early next week and it will close on 26th March, 2018.

 TELEPHONE SERVICES

We are having some issues with the school telephone. In Shaa Allah the problem will be solved soon.  If you are unable to get through please ring on Mobile:  021 067 1289 or send an email on info@al-madinah.school.nz.

DROPPING/PICKING

Parents/caregivers are not allowed to drive-in the school compound for the safety of the students. You can drop-off and pick-up your child/children from roadside.

HEALTH AND WELL-BEING SURVEY

A health and well-being survey is being done across the school and community. It is about how well the school supports students to feel they belong at school and can learn. Please complete the survey and return it to the class teacher by end of the week.  Survey form attached.

SWIMMING

Years 5 and 6 students are going to Mangere pools for swimming practice during their break time.  The tournament will be held on 10th April, 2018.

 LATE ARRIVAL

All students must be in school on time by 8.20am. Silent reading is from 8.20 – 8.30am. Please leave home early to arrive in school on time and to avoid traffic congestion.  Regular late comers will be referred to the truancy officer.

REMINDER: SCHOOL FEES

School Attendance Dues and School Fees are $300.00 a year per student. Each year the full annual fees must be paid by the end of Term 2.

 LEAVE

Gala day is on Saturday 07 April, 2018.
