REMINDER: TEACHER STRIKE
The school cannot provide teaching for students during the upcoming strike.
We have received notice from the PPTA/NZEI that members of the union will take strike action on Wednesday 29th May. The school cannot provide teaching for students during the upcoming strike. Accordingly it’s important that you make alternative arrangements for the care of your child/children during the period of the strike. Please keep your child/children at home.
We know that this is inconvenient for parents and students alike, but please be assured that student safety is our main concern.
Thank you for your understanding.

WINTER
Parents are reminded to monitor that their children are wearing enough layers of clothes to keep themselves warm. Students can wear black beanie and black gloves to and from school. They will need to take these out in class. We have observed that some students are coming with one layer of clothing and hence are getting sick frequently.
CYBER SAFETY
Cyber Safety: some students play R18 games and few students have formed chat groups – these are not recommended by the school. Parent supervision is required when students are on electronic devices. Cyber safety program for mothers of primary students is on Wednesday 24th July, 2019 after school. More details would be sent later.
