CAREERS INFORMATION
- Unitec is offering July holiday classes for years 11, 12 and 13 students. Students to check careers google classroom and seesaw for more information and bookings.
- Otago Law careers presentation is on Monday, 24th June from 7.00pm to 9pm for years 12 and 13 students at University of Otago Auckland Centre, 3&4/385 Queen St, Auckland.
School Production
Al Madinah School boys’ production, Emperor Mustafa, will be on 1st August at Mangere Arts Centre from 6.30-9.30pm. This is a men’s only event. The production is an adaptation of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare. Tickets will be on sale at the school from Thursday 20 June at $15. Currently the students are doing rehearsals for the production.
NZ SPELLING BEE
Our Years 9 and 10 students participated in NZ Spelling Bee last week.
KIWI ENGLISH COMPETITION
Students from year 7 to 10 will participate in this competition in the next 3 weeks.
DAY TRIPS
Years 7 and 8 girls went on a Social Science Trip to Howick Historical Village today.
Year 4 will be going to Stardome and Museum on Thursday 20th June, 2019.
Years 1 and 2 will be going to Butterfly Creek on Monday 01 July, 2019.
BULLYING
Parents/caregivers are reminded to share concerns with their child/children’s class teachers if their child/children is bullied. Police Officer, Priscilla is working in school in regards to anti bullying program.
WINTER
It is winter season now. Thank you to the parents/caregivers for sending your child/children with proper winter clothes. There are few students who have been seen without socks and jumpers. Please place spare socks in your junior child/children’s bag in case the ones they are wearing gets wet.
ISLAMIC WEEK
Islamic week will be from Monday 24 – Friday 28 June. We will have Quran, nasheed singing, writing competitions, Islamic quiz, mufti, sports day and shared lunch. Class teachers will share more details through Class Dojo.
PARENT TEACHER MEETING
Parent Teacher meeting is on Tuesday 6th August, 2019. More details will be sent later.
SCHOOL FEES
Jazaakallahu Khairan to all those parents/ caregivers who have paid their child/children’s attendance dues in full. Those who have not paid, please pay before end of term 2.
COFFEE WITH MUMS
Secondary school student’s mums only are invited to attend programme in the secondary girls common room on Wednesday 19 June at 2.00pm.
TERM 2 BREAK
The school ends for term 2 on 5th July at 2.30pm and will re-open for Term 3 on Monday 22nd July.
