SECONDARY SCHOOL BOYS’ PRODUCTION

The production was a huge success and Jazaakallahu Khairan to the parents, community, cast, teachers and students for your support.

 NZ SPELLING BEE 2019

Maasha Allah to Zaakirah Nisa and Humaira Saheb for being among the top 250 in New Zealand.  They will participate in the semi-final on Saturday 10 August, 2019.

PARENT TEACHER MEETING

Jazaakallahu Khairan to the parents/caregivers for attending the parent teacher meeting yesterday.  A large number of parents attended the meeting.

 EID-UL-ADHA

Eid-ul-adha will be celebrated on Monday 12 August, 2019.  Hence, the school will be closed on Monday and will resume as normal on Tuesday.

Years 7 to 13 INTERNATIONAL Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) Mathematics Assessments 2019

“Challenging students to think beyond the classroom”. For the last 30 years ICAS has taken place each year in schools throughout Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, the Pacific region and South Africa. Al-Madinah students have also participated in the past and once again is encouraging students to participate in ICAS Mathematics Assessments which has an entry fee of $15. If your child is interested, please send the money to the class teacher by coming Friday 9 August 2019. The assessment will be on 19th September 2019. High quality UNSW certificates are awarded for each year level as follows:

  • High Distinction to the top 1% of entrants
  • Distinction to the next 10% of entrants
  • Credit to the next 25% of entrants
  • Participation to all other participants.

SPCA CUPCAKE DAY

Jazaakallahu Khairan to the parents for supporting the SPCA Cupcake Day fundraising.  The school has raised $465.00 which will be given to SPCA.
