NEW BOARD AT AMS
Ministry of Education has appointed a new board for this school. This board has replaced the role of the Commissioner. Bruce Adin will continue working with the board as a specialist advisor.

NCEA AND END OF YEAR EXAMINATION
Examinations are now in progress. Please encourage your child/children to revise and come prepared for the exam.
TEACHER ONLY DAY (TOD)
TOD for NZC Refreshed Curriculum will be held on Tuesday 14 November 2023. In addition to having a special PLD on NZC, all teachers will be attending a special meeting at Bader Intermediate School from 12.30pm to 4.00pm hence the school will be closed for all students.
MOSA ATHLETICS COMPETITION
MOSA athletics competition will be on 15th November at Papakura Athletics Club Massey Park, some year 4-6 students will be participating.
STRATEGIC PLANNING 2024 – 2025
Thank you to the staff, students, and parents/caregivers for your feedback on Strategic Plan 2024 and 2025. After going through the feedback, the Senior Leaders has summarised the feedback into 5 objectives. These include:
- Enhance the learning of literacy and numeracy. (Curriculum and pedagogy)
- Review the special character teachings to enhance and embed Islamic knowledge and values so staff and students can better live Islam in their daily lives. (Religious Studies)
- Review the effectiveness of ILE. (Curriculum and Pedagogy).
- Continue and sustain good assessment practices to develop student agency.
- Review the current career pathways leading to maximum roll increase and establishment of more modernised buildings.
The above 5 objectives have been summarised into 3 major goals and action plans for the above goals will incorporate all the 5 key objectives. The draft strategic plan 2024-2025 will be put onto the school website for the parent community to view.
GRADUATION GOWN
Year 13 students need to pay $15.00 to hire the graduation gown. Students need to return the gown after the graduation ceremony.
NETBALL TOURNMENT
Masha Allah to the Junior Team A for winning the final, excellent skills, knowledge and sportsmanship displayed on and off the court. Alhamdulillah our Youth and Junior Teams have also displayed excellent skills during the tournament.
INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
The following digital programs can be used by the students to make their reading & maths interesting and fun to learn.
- Reading Eggsmakes learning to read interesting and engaging for kids, with great online reading games and activities.
- Mathseeds grow your child’s maths skills with the fun filled online maths programme.
Parents are most welcome to explore the above two online programmes for their children in literacy and numeracy using these websites: https://readingeggs.co.nz/ and https://mathseeds.co.nz/ . These programs can be used during the holidays as well.
LEAVERS 2023
It is requested that parents are to inform the school office if their child/children are leaving AMS this year and will not be returning for the 2024 academic year.

06/12/2023: Primary Award Assembly
- Years 1 – 3 from 10am – 12noon.
- Years 4 – 6 from 2pm – 4pm.
07/12/2023: Secondary Award Assembly from 10am – 12noon.
13/12/2023: School finishes for 2023 at 2.30pm
IED TRUST PROJECT

IED TRUST’S Ellerslie Project “purchase of a church” for an Islamic Center has to be paid by 30 Nov 2023. Please contribute generously as you have contributed in the past.
