Dear Parents/Caregivers

Assalaamu Alaikum WRWB

Principal’s Message

It has just been announced that out of the 18 teams that participated in the Mathex competition, AMS Year 9 girls came in first place. There are more details below. Similarly our senior soccer team’s 13-1 win over Tangaroa College are some of the moments and signs for which our school community should be proud. This, obviously, promotes AMS in the wider Auckland community. We request the parents and caregivers to ensure their children are at school on time and all the the time. This will continue to uplift the achievement of their children.

Late to School Register

Student attendance, along with effective teaching, has the greatest influence on student engagement and achievement. All students must be present at school ON TIME so they can participate and engage in learning.

Currently, we are experiencing far too many late-comers and as such teachers from Monday will be taking note of students who are coming late. Students who are regular late comers will have home phone calls, and possible follow ups with truancy officers or RTLB referrals as necessary.  Students coming to school on time is the responsibility of the parent.
