MEETING WITH THE COMMISSIONER
All parents are invited to attend a meeting with Bruce Adin, the Commissioner of AMS on Thursday March 12th at 6.30pm at AMS Hall. This is a follow up meeting and we look forward to meeting you.
Parent/Teacher Meeting
Parent teacher meeting for years 1 – 13 students is on Thursday 5th March from 8.00am – 5.00pm. Therefore, the students need to stay home and only come to school at the appointment time with their parents and go back with them. For NCEA students parents are to book appointment with Ustadah Nazmeen Zaim and Ustadh Amjad Ali to discuss about NCEA. Booking is now open and will be closed on 04/03/2020. Booking can be done via website: www.schoolinterviews.co.nz//code Enter the event code: pjtud. Then follow the instructions on the screen. Please be informed that the booking Parents/caregivers who do not have internet at home, are most welcome to contact the class teachers or the school office to book appointments.
Canteen Vacancy
A kitchen-hand is required to assist the canteen and cleaning staff on part-time basis. If you are interested and have the required skills, please apply in writing to the principal using email: principal@al-madinah.school.nz. Application closes on Tuesday 3rd March, 2020.
PLAY GYM
Some mothers are allowing their children to play on the play gym after school. This causes a lot of problems for those students, whose parents are not there. Parents are requested not to take their children to the play gym after school.
OPEN DAY
Open day for parents and caregivers is on Thursday 26th March from 8.30am – 9.45am for years 1 – 6 to be part of their child’s class.
REMINDER: CONTACT DETAILS
Parents/caregivers are requested to update their contact details. Unfortunately some of the parents have not given their email address. If your contact details have changed, please pass it on to the school. Otherwise you may miss out on important news and messages which are usually sent via emails.
REMINDERS
- Parents/caregivers must report to the main office if wanting to see their child/children.
- Uniform can only be purchased from Monday to Thursday from 3.30pm – 4.15pm.
- Secondary Boys Camp: Week 11
- Secondary Girls Camp: 10th – 12th
