ANNUAL AWARD ASSEMBLY

Primary School

Years   1-3 – Tuesday 01/12/2020

Years   4-6 – Wednesday 02/12/2020

                     from 10.00am in the AMS Hall. 

Secondary School

Boys and Girls – Tuesday 08/12/2020 from 9.30am.

FAREWELL

Year 6 farewell dinner will be on Friday 4/12/2020. More details will be sent by the class teachers later.

Year 13 boys and girls farewell dinner is on Tuesday 8/12/2020 from 6.00pm – 8.00pm.

GRADUATION GOWN

Year 13 graduating students are to hire the graduation gown. They need to pay a non-refundable fee of $15.00 to the school office and pick the gown from Ust Veena Khan.  Please return the gown immediately after the graduation or at least by next day.

 LOCKER KEYS AND TEXT BOOKS

All students including NCEA students are to return the locker keys and text books before going on study break or leaving at the EOY.

KICKSTART BREAKFAST PROGRAM

Fonterra will stop providing milk to the school. However from 2021 they will provide breakfast to the needy families only.  Please confirm your child/children’s detail by completing and

sending the tear-off slip at the end of this newsletter to their class teachers.

 SCHOOL BREAK

School finishes for 2020 on Thursday 10 December, 2020 and will restart for 2021 on 02 February, 2021.

Please update your contact details including your email address with the school office if

your details have changed recently.  EOY school report will be emailed to the parents and/or caregivers.

SPORTS DAY 2020

Primary:  Thursday 3 December.

PAPAKURA NETBALL TOURNAMENT

AMS Year 7 and 8 girls took part in this tournament on 24/11/20. Our school won the “Sportsmanship Award” out of 14 schools. Also Tayyibah Saheb of Year 7g won the award for “Outstanding Player” from over 170 students who took part. Jazaakallahu khairan to the teachers and parents for supporting our team.

VARIETY CHILDREN’S CHARITY & AUCKLAND TRANSPORT

Congratulations to four of our Year 3 and 4 students who received free bikes, helmets and T-shirts from the above organisation at Nga Iwi School. AMS would like to thank the organisation for recognising our students and rewarding them.

SCHOOL PAINTING TENDER

School is calling Tenders for painting of A Block Building. Please contact Principal on 021675994 or Br Farook Ali – Executive Officer on farooka@al-madinah.school.nz. Tender closes at 4pm on Tuesday 1 December 2020.
