TERM 3

Welcome back to all the teachers and students.  We hope you all had a good break.  This term is very important as there will be lots of assessments done.

PARENT TEACHER MEETING

Parent Teacher meeting for year’s 1 – 13 students will be held on Tuesday 03rd of August, 2021 from 8.00am – 5.00pm. It will be a whole day programme, therefore all students need to stay home and only come to school at the appointment time with their parents and go back with them. Booking is now open and can be done via website: www.schoolinterviews.co.nz//code Enter the event code: aejtg Then follow the instructions on the screen. Please be informed that the booking will be close on Monday 2nd August at 4.00pm. Parents/ caregivers who do not have internet at home are most welcome to contact the class teachers or the school office to book their appointments.

SECONDARY BOYS CAMP FUNDRAISING

Secondary boys will be selling Chicken Palau on Saturday 31st July.  Tickets are available in school please contact Ust Asraf Ali via asrafa@al-madinah.school.nz.  Tickets are $20.00 for 3 serves of Palau with chutney.

Science Roadshow

Years 7-10 students will be attending the Science Roadshow on Thursday 5thAugust from 9am -12 noon at Aorere College.

REMINDERS – SCHOOL CAMPS

PRIMARY SCHOOL– Camp at Sir Peter Blake Marine Education and Recreation Centre (MERC)

Year 6 – Wednesday 28th to Friday 30th July.

Year 5 – Monday 9th to Wednesday 11th August.

Details for the camp have been shared with students and parents by CT and Ust R Azam.

SENIOR BOYS – Camp to Bay Of Islands.

Tuesday 10th – 12th August.  More details will be shared on Google Classroom.

PRIMARY SCHOOL EOTC TRIPS

AUCKLAND MUSEUM

– Year 3 and 4 will be going on their trip on 12th August 2021 as part of their Pacifica Studies

– Year 5 and 6 will be going on a trip on 26th August 2021.

IMPORTANT DATES

  • ICAS assessment – Year 7-13 on 17/08/21.
  • MCAT NCEA exams for Year 11 on 14/09/21.
  • End of Year (EOY) practice exams for years 11-13 from 24/9/21 to 1/10/21.

  • – 24/08/21 Online from 6.30pm to 8.30pm
  • – 04/09/21 Campus from 9.30am to 1.30pm

Secondary Girls’ Production ‘Sabr’

Jazaakallahu Khairan to the whanau for supporting the secondary girls’ production in the past. Please note that we are once again having production this year called ‘Sabr’. The production date is 19th of August, 2021. Tickets and other details will follow.

WORLD OF MATHS IN SCHOOL PROGRAM:

– 23/8/21 for years 1-2

– 24/8/21 for years 3-4

– 25/8/21 for years 5-6

CANCER SOCIETY FUNDRAISING

This will be on 27th August. Girls can wear yellow scarves and boys yellow topi/socks and donate a gold coin to support.  Money to be passed on to class teachers.

INTERSCHOOL SPEECH COMPETITION

This will be held at Al-Madinah School on 09/09/21.

ATTENDANCE DUES

Please note that all attendance dues should have been paid by end of term 2. Those who have not paid are requested to immediately pay it in full.

UNIFORM SELLING TIMES

Please note that the uniform is only sold from Monday to Thursday from 3.30pm – 4.15pm.
