PASTORAL CARE NIGHT WITH WHANAU AND CAREGIVERS

The school is holding an information night about the pastoral care services available at AMS. To explain and introduce, we are inviting all Parents / guardians / Caregivers to attend this information night where various members of Pastoral Care team will have a chance to introduce his or her role and also there will be question and answer session as well. It will be better if you can avoid bringing your children. This will be held in AMS School hall on 26th August 2021 from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.Light refreshment will be provided before the start of the meeting. CHANGE BY MINISTRY OF EDUCATION TO STRENGTHEN NCEA

The NCEA Change Programme is a work programme led by MOE to deliver the package of seven changes aimed at strengthening NCEA.

WORLD OF MATHS IN SCHOOL PROGRAM

This programme is on 23rd, 24th and 25th of August for all primary students. Cost is $5 per student which is to be paid to the class teacher by the end of this week.

COMMUNITY SWIMMING

Swimming has now started for years 4-6. This will be on Tuesdays for rest of this term. Details are shared on Class Dojo by all CTs. We need all children to participate as swimming is part of our NZ Curriculum (NZC).

INTERSCHOOL SPEECH COMPETITION

Years 4-6 students are practicing their speech. Winners from years 5 and 6 classes will participate in inter school competition. Please encourage your child/children to practice their speech at home.

ATTENDANCE DUES

Please note that all attendance dues should have been paid by end of term 2. Those who have not paid are requested to immediately pay it in full. School invoice will follow very shortly.

MAORI LANGUAGE

All the staff are taking Maori language course for 5 weeks starting from 27 August with the hope to promote its learning and teaching to the students of AMS. This will be our commitment and obligation towards the Treaty of Waitangi.
